The Advocates are a group of caring, compassionate women who volunteer their time and talents to raise funds and awareness for the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center (NKCAC). They have a mission that touches the most vulnerable of the population.
Formed in September 2009, they call themselves “The Advocates” because they are Advocates for the children in our community who suffer from abuse or who witness violent crimes. The Advocates were honored by the National Children's Alliance in 2011 with the Group Volunteer Leadership Award. The National Children’s Alliance is a professional membership organization dedicated to helping local communities respond to allegations of child abuse in ways that are effective and efficient. The NCA is the accrediting body for more than 700 Children’s Advocacy Centers nationwide.
